Ofsted Early Career Framework reform and NCELP

The government through the Department for Education has introduced the Early Career Framework for new or recently qualified teachers which will provide a funded entitlement to a structured two year package of high quality professional development. It sets out standards and principles that all teachers should learn about in the first two years of their careers. This document shows how NCELP SOW, CPD and resources align with the listed standards namely: 1) High Expectations; 2) How Pupils Learn; 3) Subject and Curriculum; 4) Classroom Practice; 5) Adaptive Teaching and 6) Assessment. This document lists the key principles within each standard and shows how NCELP SOW, CPD and resources fulfil, support and resonate with what new teachers are expected to learn.
